「佛告諸比丘」下，第二結括始終教化大意，亦有四者，第一從「佛告諸比丘是十六菩薩常樂說是妙法華經」以下，正明昔日結緣之後、今日相值前中間常相值遇；第二「諸比丘我今語汝」以下，明昔日覆講十六王子已現成種覺；第三從「爾時所化」下會通古今；第四從「我滅度後」以下，此明今日相值而不解者，未來世中會得相值，此則明一日結緣歷劫不朽之義。

From "The Buddha told the monks" below is the second, summarizing the overarching purport of teaching and transforming from beginning to end. It also has four parts: first, from "The Buddha told the monks: These sixteen bodhisattvas have always delighted in preaching this Sublime Lotus Sūtra" below, directly clarifying that in the interval after the past establishing of ties and before meeting today, they constantly encountered one another; second, from "Monks, I now tell you" below, clarifying that the sixteen princes who repeated the teaching in the past have now already achieved complete enlightenment; third, from "those who were transformed at that time" below, reconciling the past and the present; fourth, from "after my extinction" below, clarifying that those who meet [me] today but do not understand will definitely meet [me] in future lives. This clarifies the principle that establishing ties on a single day remains imperishable across kalpas.
