「我等亦如是」此下四行頌合譬，略不頌合第四譬。初一偈頌合第一繫寶珠譬；「我等無智故」半行，頌合第二譬；「得少涅槃分」半行，頌合第三譬；「今佛覺悟我」一偈，頌合第五譬；「我今從佛聞」一偈，頌合第六歡喜譬。

“We are also like this”: these four lines below versify the application of the parable, omitting the verse applying the fourth parable. The first verse versifies the application of the first, the parable of tying the precious jewel; “Because we lacked wisdom” — half a line versifies the application of the second parable; “attaining a small portion of nirvāṇa” — half a line versifies the application of the third parable; “Now the Buddha awakens us” — one verse versifies the application of the fifth parable; “We now have heard from the Buddha” — one verse versifies the application of the sixth, the parable of joy.
