7.59

「爾時世尊見學無學人其意柔軟」，此是第二為二千學無學人受記。就此受記中自有二：第一正為受記，第二學無學人得受記已歡喜歎佛。

“At that time the World-Honoured One saw that the learners and non-learners had pliable minds”: this is second, bestowing prophecies on the two thousand learners and non-learners. Within this bestowal of prophecies, there are itself two parts: first, properly bestowing the prophecies; second, the learners and non-learners, having received their prophecies, rejoice and praise the Buddha.
