「藥王今告汝」自此下品中第二段，上來舉勳報，命覓通經之人，此下是第二段舉通經軌則，命取通經之人。就此中亦有兩段，即長行與偈為二也。就長行之中自有三段：第一從「藥王今告汝」以下竟「當知是為增上慢者」，先讚歎此經；第二從「善男子善女人，如來滅後欲為眾說，云何應說」以下，正明通經軌則；第三從「藥王我餘國遣化人」下竟長行獎勸通經之人。

From “I now tell you, Bhaiṣajyarāja” below is the second section within the chapter: above, having raised the merit and retribution to command and seek people to propagate the sūtra, from here below is the second section, raising the rules for propagating the sūtra to command and take people to propagate the sūtra. Within this there are also two sections, namely the prose and the verses forming two. In the prose there are naturally three sections: first, from “I now tell you, Bhaiṣajyarāja” below up to “you should know that they are people of overweening pride”, first praising this sūtra; second, from “Good man or good woman, if after the Tathāgata’s extinction one wishes to preach for the assembly, how should one preach?” below, directly clarifying the rules for propagating the sūtra; third, from “Bhaiṣajyarāja, I, from other lands, will dispatch transformed people…” below to the end of the prose, encouraging and exhorting the people who propagate the sūtra.
