The second practice of ease and comfort takes expounding the Dharma directly as its substance. However, expounding the Dharma is originally an oral action; here, it specifically takes the wholesome mind that activates speech as the substance of this practice. The previous explanation stated: Within each of the first two practices there are two sections; now within this second practice there are three: First, it first generally encourages people to cultivate this practice of ease and comfort. Second, from "If with the mouth he proclaims..." downward, eleven and a half lines of verse directly explain the substance and marks of the practice. Third, from "Finally, after my extinction..." downward, five lines of verse explain the marks of the ease and comfort of attaining the fruit.
