8.39

「其父聞子悉已得差」此下即是第三義，為未來世中神通益物作譬，上所無，玄出者也。此中亦有三段：第一先明如來見未來世中眾生有感佛出世之機也；第二即明如來應生，則言「尋便來歸」是也；第三「咸使見之」，此正明未來世中利益之相作譬也。

'The father, hearing that his sons had all recovered': this and what follows is the third point, making a parable for benefiting beings through supernormal powers in future eras, which was absent above and is introduced here. Within this there are also three sections: first, explaining that the Tathāgata sees that sentient beings in future eras have the capacity to respond to a Buddha appearing in the world; second, explaining that the Tathāgata responds with birth, which is stated as 'he immediately returned'; third, 'causing all to see him'—this directly makes a parable for the marks of benefit in future eras.
