三、對治悉檀者，有法對治則有、實性則無。對治者：貪欲多，教觀不淨；瞋恚多，教修慈心；愚癡多，教觀因緣。對治惡病，說此法藥，遍施眾生，故名對治悉檀相也。

Third, regarding the therapeutic siddhānta: There is a dharma that exists therapeutically, but does not exist in its real nature. As for therapeutics: if greed is abundant, one is taught to contemplate impurity; if hatred is abundant, one is taught to cultivate loving-kindness; if delusion is abundant, one is taught to contemplate causes and conditions. To counteract bad diseases, this medicinal Dharma is preached and universally bestowed upon sentient beings; therefore it is called the characteristic of the therapeutic siddhānta.
