1.23

立名者，原聖建名，蓋為開深以進始，咸令視聽，俱得見聞，尋途趣遠，而至於極，故以名名法，施設眾生。

Regarding establishing the title: tracing how the sage established names, it was to open the profound to advance beginners, causing all who look and listen alike to see and hear, following the road to proceed afar and reach the ultimate; therefore, by using names to name dharmas, he made provision for sentient beings.
