非獨自釋。叡師亦云：「般若照也，法華實也，論窮理盡，性明萬行，則實不如照；取大明真化，解本無三，則照不如實。是故歎深則《般若》之功重，美實則《法華》之用高也。」

This is not my own explanation alone. Master Rui also said: "Prajñā is illumination; the Lotus is reality. If discussing the exhaustive investigation of principle and the nature illuminating the myriad practices, reality does not equal illumination; if taking the grand illumination of true transformation and understanding that originally there are no three, illumination does not equal reality. Therefore, in praising depth, the achievement of the *Prajñā[-pāramitā]* is weighty; in extolling reality, the function of the *Lotus Sūtra* is lofty."
