10.21

十者、北地禪師，非四宗、五宗、六宗、二相、半滿等教，但一佛乘，無二亦無三，一音說法，隨類異解。諸佛常行一乘，眾生見三，但是一音教也。出異解竟。

Tenth, dhyāna masters of the northern region rejected the four traditions, five traditions, six traditions, two characteristics, and half and full teachings, maintaining that there is only the one buddha-yāna, with neither two nor three; the Buddha preaches the Dharma with a single voice, and according to their kinds, they understand differently. The buddhas constantly practice the one vehicle, yet sentient beings see three; this is simply the teaching of the single voice. The presentation of divergent interpretations is concluded.
