10.43

此六宗五宗皆倚傍四宗而開，但四宗無文，或言出《頂王經》，經云：「初說因緣諸法空，次教諸子一乘常住法。」諸法空者，不應是假名宗也。一乘常住者，不應是通教誑相也。或言經不度也。四宗既爾，五宗、六宗約四開立，皆難信用也。

These six tenets and five tenets are all expanded by relying on the four tenets, yet the four tenets lack textual basis. Some say they derive from the Mūrdhaja-rāja-sūtra, where the sūtra says: 'First, he expounded causes and conditions and the emptiness of all dharmas; next, he taught all the sons the eternal dharma of the single vehicle.' The emptiness of all dharmas should not be the nominal designation tenet. The eternal of the single vehicle should not be the deceitful marks of the shared teaching. Others say the sūtra has not been translated. Since the four tenets are already thus, the five tenets and six tenets established on the basis of the four are all difficult to trust.
