夫二諦者，名出眾經，而其理難曉，世間紛紜，由來碩諍。《妙勝定經》云：「佛昔與文殊，共諍二諦，俱墮地獄。至迦葉佛時，共質所疑。」二聖因地尚不能了，況即人情強生去取？

Now, the two truths: their names appear in various sūtras, but their principle is difficult to fathom; in the world there has been confusing contention, giving rise to great disputes from the past. The Miaoshengding jing states: "Formerly the Buddha and Mañjuśrī disputed the two truths together, and both fell into hell. When the time of Kāśyapa Buddha arrived, they questioned each other about their doubts." If the two sages on the causal stage were still unable to comprehend, how much more so should human sentiment forcibly generate acceptance and rejection?
