又乳經一種因果廣、高、長，一種因果狹、下、短，則一麁一妙（云云）。酪經唯一種因果狹、下、短，但麁無妙。生蘇經三種因果狹、下、短，一種因果廣、高、長，則三麁一妙。熟蘇經二種因果狹、下、短，一種因果廣、高、長，則二麁一妙。醍醐經一種因果廣、高、長，但妙無麁。又醍醐經妙因、妙果，與諸經妙因、妙果不異，故稱為妙也。

Furthermore, the milk sūtras have one kind of cause and fruit that is broad, high, and long, and one kind of cause and fruit that is narrow, low, and short, so there is one coarse and one subtle. The curd sūtras have only one kind of cause and fruit that is narrow, low, and short, being only coarse without subtlety. The raw butter sūtras have three kinds of cause and fruit that are narrow, low, and short, and one kind of cause and fruit that is broad, high, and long, so there are three coarse and one subtle. The cooked butter sūtras have two kinds of cause and fruit that are narrow, low, and short, and one kind of cause and fruit that is broad, high, and long, so there are two coarse and one subtle. The ghee sūtras have one kind of cause and fruit that is broad, high, and long, being only subtle without coarseness. Furthermore, the subtle cause and subtle fruit of the ghee sūtras are not different from the subtle cause and subtle fruit of the various [other] sūtras, and therefore it is called subtle.
