二、對四種四諦明智者，《大經》云：「知聖諦智，則有二種：中智、上智。中智者，聲聞、緣覺。上智者，諸佛、菩薩。」若依此文，束於體、析，合稱為中。束大乘利、鈍，合稱為上。

Second, clarifying wisdom in contrast to the four kinds of four truths: the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra says, 'The wisdom that knows the noble truths has two kinds: intermediate wisdom and superior wisdom. Intermediate wisdom belongs to śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas; superior wisdom belongs to the buddhas and bodhisattvas.' If we rely on this text, bundling the embodiment and analysis together, they are combined and called 'intermediate'; bundling the sharp and dull of the Mahāyāna together, they are combined and called 'superior.'
