4.38

生滅四諦慧者，還觀九想、背捨，依、正兩報，膖脹、爛壞不淨之色，是逼迫相、現相、三苦相，是苦諦慧。

Regarding the wisdom of the four noble truths of arising and ceasing: one observes again the nine contemplations of impurity, the eight liberations, and the two retributions of dependent and primary, seeing the bloated, decaying, and impure matter. These are the characteristics of oppression, the manifest characteristics, and the characteristics of the three sufferings; this is the wisdom of the truth of suffering.
