5.14

如此五品圓信功德，東西八方不可為喻。雖是初心，而勝聲聞無學功德，具如經說。若欲比決取解，類如三藏家別、總四念處位。義推如通教乾慧地位，亦如伏忍位。義推亦得是別教十信位（云云）。

The virtues of perfect faith in these five grades cannot be compared even to the east, west, and eight directions. Although this is the initial mind, it surpasses the virtues of the śrāvaka non-trainees, fully as stated in the sūtra. If one wishes to compare and determine it for comprehension, it is analogous to the specific and collective four stations of mindfulness of the Tripiṭaka school. Inferred by meaning, it is like the dry-wisdom ground of the shared teaching, and also like the stage of subdued patience. Inferred by meaning, it can also be the stage of the ten faiths of the distinctive teaching (and so forth).
