四、明機應相對者，即有四意：一、明諸有苦樂與三昧慈悲相對。二者、機關等相對。三者、三十六句相對。四者、別圓相對。

Fourth, in clarifying the mutual correspondence of spiritual capacity and response, there are four points: first, clarifying the mutual correspondence between the suffering and joy of the various realms of existence and the loving-kindness and compassion of the samādhis; second, the mutual correspondence of spiritual capacity, trigger, and so forth; third, the mutual correspondence of the thirty-six phrases; fourth, the mutual correspondence of the distinctive and the perfect.
