通義則爾，別義不然。偏圓約法，法則已定，故偏非圓、圓非偏。權實約教，迹中施設，同皆是假，故就假論權耳。

In terms of the general meaning it is so, but in terms of the specific meaning it is not. 'Partial' and 'perfect' are defined in terms of the Dharma, and the Dharma is already fixed; hence the partial is not the perfect, and the perfect is not the partial. 'Provisional' and 'real' are defined in terms of the teachings: established within the traces, they are all equally designated expedients, so we speak of them as provisional with respect to designation.
