例。通論本迹，秖是權實；別論高下，宜用本迹；橫論真偽，宜用權實；本迹約身、約位，權實約智、約教（云云）。

This is an analogy. Discussing original source and traces generally, they are just the provisional and the real; discussing them specifically in terms of high and low, it is fitting to use original source and traces; discussing them horizontally in terms of true and artificial, it is fitting to use provisional and real; original source and traces pertain to bodies and to stages, while provisional and real pertain to wisdom and to teaching (and so forth).
