7.20

進入益者，本是地上清涼，今則進發大乘，解心明淨，或進觀行妙，相似分真中。本是人天因益，今進入相似分真。本是小乘學無學益，今進破無明分真妙益，譬如迴聲入角轉小為大也。通、別進益，例此可知。

As for advancing benefits: what was originally coolness on the stages now advances to arouse the Mahāyāna, with an understanding mind bright and pure; or advances to the subtlety of contemplation practice, or resemblance, or partial realization of the Middle. What was originally the cause-benefit of humans and gods now advances to resemblance or partial realization. What was originally the benefit of the trainees and non-trainees of the Hīnayāna now advances to the subtle benefit of partial realization through breaking fundamental ignorance—just like echoing sound entering a horn, turning from small to great. Advancing benefits of the shared and distinctive teachings can be understood by analogy with this.
