大小俱稱妙，大小俱明常，一往斥之（云云）。小乘滅止妙離，名同理異，不得是常，並云不得是妙？

Great and small are both called subtle, and great and small both clarify permanence; this is rejected for the moment (and so forth). In the Hīnayāna's cessation, stopping, subtlety, and departure, the names are identical but the principle is different; it cannot be permanent, and does it not follow that it cannot be subtle?
