The Avataṃsaka does not share with the two vehicles, but only considers bodhisattvas: attaining the three wisdoms successively is also not the correct reality; attaining them non-successively is the correct reality. In the Vaipulya, four persons attain the three wisdoms; for three persons it is false, and for one person it is real. In the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā, three prajñās are explained as three wisdoms belonging to three kinds of persons; the first two do not seek deeply, being shallow and not real; the latter one person deeply seeks the three wisdoms in a single mind, and is therefore real. In this sūtra, 'You are truly my sons'; there are no longer the four or three kinds of persons, and seeking carefully throughout the ten directions, there are no other vehicles—only the wisdom of the single real mark, decisively comprehending the śrāvaka Dharma and preaching only the unsurpassed path, purely the single real substance.
