Fourth, universally breaking through dharmas: With this wondrous wisdom, like a vajra axe, whatever it strikes is shattered; like an unclouded sun, wherever it shines is illuminated. If birth and death is itself nirvāṇa, the truth of suffering in both delimited and transformative [birth and death] is entirely broken through; if afflictions are themselves bodhi, the truth of origin in both the four entrenchments and five entrenchments is entirely broken through. Although able to break through, there is also nothing broken through. Why? Because birth and death is itself nirvāṇa, therefore there is nothing to be broken through.
