The first fruit has eight acceptances and eight knowledges. The third fruit repeatedly reflects on and takes the real as object, having nine unhindered and nine liberation knowledges. The pratyekabuddha uses universal characteristics and particular characteristics; for instance, explaining suffering and arising with reference to the three times, and discerning the twelve links of dependent origination, are the characteristics of particular characteristics. The six perfections taking the principle as object have weak wisdom, suppressing but not yet severing [defilements]; their phenomenal wisdom is strong, able to give up life, limb, and wealth without any lingering regret. The śrāvaka can elicit the real and become noble, yet still disputes over 'my robe' and 'my bowl', mutually debating strength and weakness (and so on).
