This ground is fully endowed with the four virtues: shattering the afflictions of the twenty-five states of existence is called purity; shattering the karma of the twenty-five states of existence is called self; not receiving the retributions of the twenty-five states of existence is called bliss; and being without the birth-and-death of the twenty-five states of existence is called permanence. Permanence, bliss, self, and purity are called the manifestation of buddha-nature; this is its meaning.
