The practitioner's perfect contemplation is somewhat ripened, and principle and phenomena are about to merge: engaging in phenomena does not obstruct principle, and residing in principle does not block phenomena; therefore, one fully practices the six perfections. When practicing giving, there is no grasping at the two extremes; regarding the environment and persons of the ten dharma realms, one renunciation is all renunciations, giving wealth, body, life, fearlessness, and so forth. When observing precepts, inherently grave [offenses] and those subject to censure are without distinction; regarding the grave and light among the five categories, nothing is violated. When practicing patience, sentient beings and dharmas are quiescent, and one shoulders burdens with endurance. When practicing vigor, body and mind are both pure, without interruption or regression. When practicing meditation, one wanders and enters into various dhyānas, with quietude and dispersion unhindered. When cultivating wisdom, the two wisdoms of the provisional and real are thoroughly mastered and penetrated; even worldly wisdom, managing livelihoods, and producing wealth do not contradict the real mark. One fully explains the knowledge and vision of the Buddha, which adds fuel to the fire of correct contemplation. This is the stage of the fifth grade.
