Third, regarding the benefits in the present text: with respect to the present sūtra, it fully possesses the seven benefits; although they are distinct, they are immediately non-distinct. It is like sprouts, stalks, branches, and leaves: their growth is different, yet they are produced from one and the same ground. Even though the seven benefits are indeed shallow and deep, none of them is other than the real mark; hence it is said that the distinct is non-distinct. The distinct, coarse benefits of the various sūtras equally enter the non-distinct, subtle benefits of this sūtra: either advancing into the various subtle benefits, or completing the subtle benefits according to one's stage.
