「妙法」已去，牒前序文以示五義。故知敘名通冠始末，如前一序，但敘於名。體等三義，合在名中，體既屬理，理豈無宗？一乘屬宗，宗豈無體？蕩化是用且據實邊，據理立化亦在用攝。尋文可見。

From "Subtle Dharma" onward, it cites the preceding preface text to indicate the five meanings. Therefore we know that the narration of the title thoroughly heads the beginning and the end; as in the preceding single preface, it merely narrated the title. The three meanings of substance and the rest are combined within the title: since substance belongs to principle, how could principle lack gist? The one vehicle belongs to gist; how could gist lack substance? Sweeping away the phantom [city] is function and provisionally relies on the side of the real; establishing transformation on the basis of principle is also subsumed under function.
