次「蓮華」下譬醍醐者，為二：初通舉多奇，次別對三義。初文者可以譬本迹十妙及體宗用三章。奇秖是妙，十妙三章無不皆妙，非多奇華果，何以擬之？今總以為蓮等三攝彼本迹，故標「多奇」。

Next, from 'Lotus' downward, using it as a metaphor for ghee, consists of two parts: first, generally raising its many wonders; next, specifically pairing them with the three meanings. The first text can be an analogy for the ten subtleties of the origin and traces, and the three chapters of substance, essence, and application. 'Wonder' is simply 'subtlety'; among the ten subtleties and three chapters, none is not subtle; if not for a blossom and fruit of many wonders, how could it be matched? Here, generally taking the three [meanings] of the lotus and so forth to subsume those origins and traces, it therefore designates 'many wonders'.
