前明興者，若不論廢無由得興，雖復相對意在於興；今文明廢，若不假興何以明廢，雖復相對意在於廢。

As for explaining arising previously: without discussing abrogation, there would be no ground for arising; although they are contrasted, the intention lay in arising. Now this text explains abrogation: without relying on arising, how could abrogation be clarified? Although they are contrasted, the intention lies in abrogation.
