Earlier, in explaining the subtlety of the objective realm, realization was taken as truthlessness; earlier, in explaining the subtlety of wisdom, among the twenty wisdoms it extended up to wonderful awakening; earlier, in explaining the subtlety of practice, the gradual five practices extended up to the first bhūmi, and non-gradual practice also extended to the six sense faculties; when explaining the subtlety of stages, beginning and end were fully present; and just now in explaining the three dharmas, in distinguishing their beginning and end, they begin from a single thought of the ten realms in the mind of an ordinary being and end at the ultimate, which is the fruit of the three dharmas. How can it now be asserted at the outset that four are causes and one is fruit?
