為人中三：初明為人意。次「若宜」下正明生善，止觀各三隨一可辦。三「是為」下結。

In [the siddhānta for] the person there are three: first, clarifying the intent of [the siddhānta for] the person; second, from "If appropriate" onward, directly clarifying the generation of good—śamatha and vipaśyanā each have three, and according to any one of them it can be accomplished; third, from "This is" onward, the conclusion.
