Tenth, "Connecting to the Sūtra" also has two parts: first, the question; next, the answer. In the answer there are two parts: first, a general presentation; next, individual explanations. In the explanation, first there is the explanation, and next the conclusion. In the explanation there are two parts: first, the traces; next, the origin. In the traces there are two parts: first, listing the sūtras; next, the explanation. The text on the origin is also like this. Both traces and origin take nature as producing goodness, because wholesome nature resides in the past. Both take the power of exertion and practice as the antidote, collectively raising the practice that can serve as the antidote. Faculties raises the person capable of awakening; thoughts raises the mind capable of seeing; this is slightly different. Thus both equally have the four siddhāntas. From "in both places" downward is the conclusion, which can be understood.
