次約五味以判麁妙者二：先列五味，次「又醍醐」下重辨同異。初文者，因果二門並約迹說，故得乳中亦有一妙因果，餘味例然，故下結云「與醍醐妙同」。

Next, regarding determining coarseness and subtlety in terms of the five flavors, there are two: first listing the five flavors, and next, from 'furthermore, ghee' onward, re-discriminating sameness and difference. In the first text: the two gates of cause and fruition are both explained in terms of the traces; therefore, within milk there is also a subtle cause and fruition, and the remaining flavors are likewise by analogy; hence the conclusion below states: 'identical to the subtlety of ghee.'
