次修四等，言四無量四法平等，於中二：先標修意，次釋。釋中三：先明攝所，次辦修相，三「發時」下隱沒等。廣明在修證及阿毘曇，如《止觀》第九略記。

Next, cultivating the four equalities: saying that the four immeasurables are equal in the four dharmas. In this there are two parts: first, indicating the intention of cultivation; next, explaining. In the explanation, there are three: first, clarifying what is embraced; next, distinguishing the characteristics of cultivation; third, from "When generated" below, obscurity and the rest.
