1.46

本迹釋者，若未會入，可言阿難隨世名我；若發迹顯本，空王佛所同時發心，方便示為傳法之人，何所不能？

Explaining in terms of origin and traces: If one has not yet integrated [into the ultimate], one may say that Ānanda conformed to worldly designation as "I"; but if one discloses the traces and reveals the origin, having aroused the aspiration at the same time [as the Buddha] under King of Emptiness Buddha, and expediently manifesting as the person who transmits the Dharma, what would he not be capable of?
