1.64

約教者，《像法決疑經》云：「一切大眾所見不同，或見娑羅林地，悉是土砂、草木、石壁，或見七寶清淨莊嚴，或見此林是三世諸佛所遊行處，或見此林即是不可思議諸佛境界真實法體。」例知此義，四見不同，所住既然，能住亦爾。此則約教分別也。本迹、觀心在後說。

In terms of the teachings: The *Sūtra of Resolving Doubts Concerning the Semblance Dharma* says, "What all the great assemblies see is not the same: some see the ground of the śāla grove as entirely dirt, sand, grass, trees, and stone walls; some see it adorned with pure seven jewels; some see this grove as the place traversed by the Buddhas of the three times; some see this grove as the real entity of Dharma, the inconceivable realm of all Buddhas." Knowing this principle by analogy, the four views are different; just as it is for what is abided in, so it is for that which abides. This is the differentiation according to the teachings. Origin and traces, and contemplation of mind, will be explained later.
