10.103

雖同一位，有始、中、終，止此一事不知，無忝高位；又眾中見瑞不了，發起令知，故問佛耳。

Although of the same rank, there are beginning, middle, and end; merely being unaware of this one matter does not compromise his high rank. Furthermore, seeing an auspicious sign among the assembly without understanding it clearly, he brought it up to let them know, and therefore questioned the Buddha.
