第三，弘經為二：問、答。初、問種何善根，二、問有是神力。善根是問昔，神力是問今。佛還答二意，昔獻樂奉器仍結古今，悉如文，此答其種善根之問。從「華德」下，答其神力之問。示三十四凡身四聖人身，結成十法界六道耳。「爾時華德」下，是問今住何定而能如此自在利益，佛答如文。

Third, propagating the sūtra is twofold: question and answer. First, asking what good roots he planted; second, asking how he possesses such spiritual powers. Good roots asks about the past; spiritual powers asks about the present. The Buddha again answered with two intentions: presenting music and offering vessels in the past still connects past and present, all as in the text—this answers the question about planting good roots. From "Padmaśrī" onward answers the question about his spiritual powers. Displaying thirty-four ordinary bodies and four noble bodies constitutes the ten dharma realms and the six paths. From "at that time, Padmaśrī" onward asks in what absorption he currently abides to be able to benefit [beings] with such sovereignty, and the Buddha answers as in the text.
