10.113

從「是故眾生」下，是勸持名，為三：勸持、格量、結歎。上述勝名美德不辨形質，若欲歸崇宜持名字，是故勸持也。《入大乘論》云「法身唯一應色則多」，格六十二億應，等一法身也。智者云：「圓人唯一、偏人則多」，格六十二億偏菩薩，等一圓菩薩也。

From "For this reason, sentient beings..." on down is the exhortation to uphold the name, which has three parts: exhorting to uphold, weighing and measuring, and the concluding praise. The preceding describes the superior name and excellent virtues without distinguishing physical forms; if one wishes to take refuge and venerate him, one should uphold his name, and for this reason he exhorts them to uphold it. The Mahāyānāvatāra-śāstra states, "The Dharma body is only one; the physical forms of response are many." Weighing sixty-two hundred million response [bodies] equates to a single Dharma body. Zhiyi says: "A person of the perfect [teaching] is only one; persons of the partial [teachings] are many." Weighing sixty-two hundred million partial bodhisattvas equates to a single perfect bodhisattva.
