「又阿逸多聞佛壽長遠」，是第二品，前但信解未能敷說，說涉名數須善方言，今品具足故言為他解說。從勝受名，名第二品。以說力故，能起自他無上之慧。此文先標人相，次格量也。

'Furthermore, Ajita, hearing of the Buddha's long lifespan' is the second grade. Previously there was only faith and understanding without the ability to expound it; preaching touches upon terms and numbers and requires skill in vernaculars, while the present grade is fully equipped with these, hence it says 'explaining it for others'. Receiving its name from its preeminence, it is called the second grade. By the power of preaching, it can give rise to the unsurpassed wisdom of self and other. This text first marks the person's characteristics and next assesses [their merit].
