Furthermore, within a single mind are contained the ten dharma realms; each and every realm has the ten suchnesses, making one hundred; one faculty universally apprehends the six dusts, making six hundred; in terms of the two adornments of concentration and wisdom, this is twelve hundred; each and every faculty is equally adorned with concentration and wisdom to twelve hundred. If we discuss the purification of the six faculties: in purity, one does not speak of merits as few or many; if we speak of adornments, they can expand, can contract, and can be equally adorned, each faculty having six thousand. If one says twelve hundred, it reveals its capacity to expand; if one says eight hundred, it reveals its capacity to contract; if one says pure, there is no expanding, no contracting, and no equality, because the six faculties function interchangeably, because the faculties are sovereign, and because it is inconceivable. If one determines it in a biased manner, one loses the purport. As for the stage of resemblance: if based on the four wheels, it is the stage of the iron wheel; if based on the fifty-two stages, it is the ten stages of faith; if based on the Renwang, it is the ten good great minds. Now, compared to Ever-Vigorous, it is the third mind of the ten faiths. Although the names in various sūtras differ, they are all equally the stage of resemblance of the perfect teaching.
