Regarding "his body and mind were motionless": this means being in accord with the realm of objective focus. The original source of the body is serene like empty space; the fundamental nature of the mind is ultimately and perpetually tranquil. Mahābhijñā-jñānābhibhū's body and limbs were quiescent and securely motionless, his mind was perpetually serene and never scattered. The body is like a vajra, unshakeable and unswerving; the mind is like empty space, without discrimination. The Dharma of the Samādhi of the Abode of Immeasurable Meanings sustains body and mind, so they are motionless. As for calling it 'immeasurable', this concentration is quiescent yet perpetually illuminating, capable of knowing the worldly realms, and from this one Dharma issuing immeasurable dharmas. If treated in terms of the meaning of a prologue: the essence of bodily dharmas is movement and activity, but now he causes them not to move or be active; the essence of mental dharmas is discrimination, but now he causes them not to discriminate. The meaning of the prologue is thus clarified.
