2.22

「難陀」，亦云放牛難陀，此翻善歡喜，亦翻欣樂。淨飯王偪十萬釋出家，即一人也。有師言：「是律中跋難陀。」

“Nanda”, also called Cowherd Nanda, is translated as “Good Joy”, and also translated as “Delight”. King Śuddhodana compelled one hundred thousand Śākyas to leave home, and he was one of them. Some masters say: “This is the Upananda in the Vinaya.”
