本迹者，本法身大士，居滿字學無學位，眾生應以半字學無學人，莊嚴雙樹也。
As for origin and traces: originally they are great beings of the Dharma-body, residing in the positions of training and beyond training of the complete letters; for sentient beings, they manifest as persons of training and beyond training of the half letters, adorning the twin [sāla] trees.
