此中歎斷惑德，三藏不斷惑，可不被歎；聲聞尚被歎，迹為通、別，何不歎德？

Here the virtue of severing afflictions is praised; in the Tripiṭaka [teaching] afflictions are not severed, so they may well not be praised; but śrāvakas are still praised, and their traces belong to the shared and distinctive [teachings]—why are their virtues not praised?
