4.61

○初周法說，文為五：一、從「殷勤三請豈得不說」下訖卷，正是法說；二、從第二卷初訖偈頌，是身子領解；三、從「吾今於天人」下，訖「佛所護念」，是佛述成；四、從「汝於來世」，訖「宜應自欣慶」，是與授記；五、從「四眾」訖「盡迴向佛道」，是四眾歡喜。

The first cycle, the preaching of the dharma, has five textual divisions: First, from 'Earnestly requested three times, how could I not preach?' down to the end of the fascicle is precisely the preaching of the dharma. Second, from the beginning of the second fascicle down to the verses is Śāriputra's expression of understanding. Third, from 'I now among devas and humans' down to 'protected and remembered by the buddhas' is the Buddha's confirmation. Fourth, from 'You in a future age' down to 'You should rejoice' is conferring the prediction. Fifth, from 'the four assemblies' down to 'all dedicated to the buddha path' is the rejoicing of the four assemblies.
