This chapter has prose and gāthās. The prose has three parts: first, explaining Prabhūtaratna's welling up and appearing; second, explaining the emanated bodies gathering from afar; third, explaining Śākyamuni's summoning and exhorting. The first text has six parts: first, the features of the stūpa's appearance; second, the offerings of the devas; third, Prabhūtaratna's praise; fourth, the assembly's astonishment and doubt; fifth, Great Eloquence's question; sixth, the Tathāgata's answer. 'A stūpa of seven treasures' explains that the ground of the Dharma body is inherently endowed with the treasures of the seven factors of awakening and the seven noble riches. The stūpa is the realm of the real mark, the place upon which the Dharma body relies. 'Five hundred yojanas in height' is twenty thousand li, vertically expressing the myriad practices in the causal stage and the myriad virtues in the fruition stage. 'Two hundred and fifty yojanas in breadth' is ten thousand li, horizontally adorned with the myriad goods. 'Ground' refers to the mind-ground of ignorance; through having nothing to destroy, it destroys ignorance; through having nowhere to abide, it abides in the supreme truth of emptiness. 'Various kinds of treasures' are the adornments of numerous samādhis and wisdoms. 'Balustrades' are dhāraṇīs. 'Tens of millions of niches and chambers' are the chambers of immeasurable loving-kindness and compassion, and also immeasurable empty dwellings. 'Banners and pennants' are the supreme marks of divine transformations. 'Suspended jeweled necklaces' are the virtues of the forty stages, adorning the Dharma body above and gracing sentient beings below. 'Hundreds of billions of jeweled bells' are the eight voices and four unobstructed eloquence abilities. 'Fragrance wafting from all four sides' is the wind of the Way of the Four Truths blowing the fragrance of the four virtues. 'Reaching high up to the palace of the Four Heavenly Kings' is plumbing the principle of the Four Truths.
