「問一經云何」等者？問意既存兩釋，問後何妨？所以二釋之中不專後釋者，以本正前立流通故，且一往耳。

Regarding “Question: How can one sūtra…” and so forth: the question's intention, since both interpretations are preserved, asks what harm is there in the latter? The reason why, between the two interpretations, he does not exclusively follow the latter interpretation is that transmission was provisionally established before the main body of the origin gate, which was only a preliminary formulation.
