1.54

次「復次」下，本因果種，果後近熟，適過世脫。指地踊者，故知地踊云本眷屬者，乃是本種近世始脫；既彌勒不識，非極近也。次中間種，昔教熟今日脫。

Next, from 'Furthermore' onward, there is the planting in the original cause and fruit, which ripens recently after the fruit, and achieves liberation just in the past age. This points to those who welled forth from the earth; hence we know that when those welled forth from the earth are called the 'original retinue', it means they were originally planted and only liberated in a recent age. Since Maitreya did not recognize them, it was not extremely recent. Next is planting in the intermediate period, ripening through past teachings, and liberation today.
